Well, it’s 12 days until Christmas!
In celebration of the countdown, and of the stupid holiday song 12 Days of Christmas, I have decided to do the 12 days of several different things on the blog.
1. 12 days until I can eat sweets again! After cookie baking today, I have decided to officially give up sweets all together until Christmas. I am such a sucker for anything sweet, and while most guys find it charming when a girl can hold her own at the dinner (or dessert) table, I am charming enough without two hundred cookies in mah belly. :) Basically, I just love giving myself challenges and this one seemed quite fitting.
2. 12 days of new workouts! I will find new, awesome and challenging workouts to post each day for you all to enjoy and use in your daily workouts. :)
Allison Sweeney’s Couch Workout -Fitness Magazine
This is a great total body workout that you can do from your own living room!
3. Twelve day’s of holiday recipes! I do a lot of perusing around on different websites for things that I could post about, and in doing this each day I’ve found several great recipes for side dishes, appetizers, desserts, etc… that you could bring to a holiday dinner or party!
Now, it’s no surprise that I am a huge fan of steak. I could pretty much give up all other foods forever if I had someone to make me medium rare steak every single day for the rest of my life. This recipe caught my eye because it’s a little different than your average baked ham or turkey for a main meal. I think it could get a little pricey if you were cooking for several people, but if it was just for immediate family, it would be perfect!!
4. Twelve days of great songs! I am a huge music person. I love anything and everything, especially the songs that you can feel all the way down to your bones. Those are some good ones. :)
Today’s song is:
Leather and Lace- Stevie Nicks and Don Henley
“Give to me your leather, take from me my lace.”
Well, that’s all that I can think of for now! If anyone has any ideas for “12 Days Of…” comment and let me know! I would love to hear any suggestions!
Well, I just got back from the gym, so it’s time to hop in the shower and then catch up on a new show called Revenge that I’m getting pretty into thanks to my sister!
Today’s workout looked like this:
30 minutes of running at 6.5mph
Total body circuit training:
Arms- bicep curls, tricep dips (30 reps of each x2)
Shoulders- awesome shoulder move (15 reps x2)
Abs- 150 reps of various ab exercises
Legs- Victoria’s Secret Leg/ Butt workout
Hope everyone had a wonderful day and took a little time to enjoy the holiday cheer that seems to be sneaking in everywhere. :)
