“What are 5 books, albums, movies or travels that have influenced you the most?”
This is the first and only book I’ve read that has made me cry. And for those of you who don’t know me, I’m not a crier. Ever. The story just captivated me from the first page and it held so many truths throughout. It was a such a heartbreaking, honest and inspirational story and it really changed me.

This is my favorite movie. I think that coming from a musical background, having that connection to music and words and understanding how they can change a person is what makes me connect with this movie so much. It is a story of dreams, mistakes, passion, music, life and above all else; love. It just kind of gets me.

- The Very Best Of Fleetwood Mac
It’s not really the entire album that has influenced me, but rather the song Landslide. It has always been a song that kind of makes my heart stop when I hear it. There are a select few songs that give me the ability to completely drown out the rest of the world and just immerse myself in the music and lyrics. This is definitely one of them.

- Eli Young Band- Jet Black and Jealous
This is another album that I chose for one particular song. Their song Guinevere is a song that I can relate to from start to finish. I can remember the first time I heard it and how I listened to it over and over in my car. It’s a song that gives me comfort in the fact that someone else in this world understands what it’s like be like me, or else they wouldn’t have been able to write that song. Beautiful.

My family is from Tennessee and it’s a place that will always hold a special place in my heart. It’s beautiful and still and really gives me an appreciation for family and home. It’s also the only place that I have ever seen my dad. Like really seen him. At home he is my dad who works and lives and kind of goes through the motions at times, but I can remember him and I driving down to Tennessee together about a year ago and the second we crossed the state line, it was like he could breathe again. He was home. It kind of felt like it was the first time I was really seeing my dad and it was perfect.

Well, that’s all for tonight. :)
