Can I start this post by saying that I have never been so completely turned off by sweets as I am in this very moment? I seriously can’t wait for Christmas to be OVER because I am so tired of Christmas cookies haha. I think that the correct statement, however, is that I am so tired of the belly aches that follow from eating ENTIRELY too many of them. ”Tis the season” doesn’t even apply anymore. This body needs a huge break from sweets or I am going to never ever want to eat cookies again in my life. That would be so sad.

Best spatula ever! :)
Well folks, today was a great day! We all got up and ready to go to lunch with Grandma at noon, and oh boy, lunch was delicious!! We headed to Bravo, an Italian restaurant at West County Mall, to enjoy some girl time and a great lunch together before a little bit of Christmas shopping. We started out with some hot, fresh Italian bread and took a bunch of pictures together while waiting for our meals!

Me and mah sissy :)
And apparently I didn’t realize that the eye liner I’ve been wearing is blue and not black. Thanks friends for filling me in.

Grammy and mom!
I love that Grandma and mom are matching. And by matching, I mean even Grandma’s lipstick matches the color scheme. Haha!

Mom and Kay took pictures together...

While I taught Gram how to use her iPhone haha!
After pictures and a little catching up on Grammy’s life in California, our wonderful meals came. I ordered a panini complete with fresh mozzarella cheese, provolone, sun dried tomatoes and pesto along with a cup of lobster bisque on the side. It was absolutely to die for. I brought half of the sandwich home and can’t wait until lunch tomorrow to enjoy it!

SO delicious!!
After lunch, we walked around the mall and browsed around a couple of stores to pick up a few more Christmas gifts and round out a great girl’s day out before heading home. Once we got home, Kayla headed to my dad’s house, mom headed to her bed for a nap and I decided to curl up on the couch and watch a movie because I was completely exhausted. 4 Hours of sleep will do that to a girl (and sleepwalking in the middle of the night definitely didn’t help ha!). I don’t know what the heck is going on with my sleep lately. Pretty darn weird.
After finally getting a little energy and motivation to move my butt off the couch, I completed a 45min cardio workout from the Health and Exercise channel that I recently found on our ATT U-Verse. It was great!! A nice switch up from running, which is just what I needed and it was pretty funny to do it while Maggie (my black lab) laid on the recliner and watched me. After the video, I completed my normal circuit workout that consisted of a little bit of ab work, arm work and the Victoria’s Secret Leg Workout. It wasn’t as intense as my normal workouts, but something is better than nothing, right? :)
Around 9 I headed to dad’s to hang out with Kayla and the boys and help them bake some cookies. (This is where the “I officially hate sweets right now” attitude comes from) We messed something up in the dough, so they didn’t rise like they were supposed to, but they still tasted absolutely delicious!

Love me some cookie dough :)
I decided mid dough making to set part of the dough aside for a little experiment sans chocolate chips. I took half of the dough and mixed in a tablespoon of peanut butter, and the other half was mixed with a combination of crushed Oreo’s and white chocolate chips. Both turned out exceptionally well!

The best made up cookies in the world
Ah, well I’m back at my momma’s now and it’s time to curl up and watch a Lifetime movie with her before heading to sleep. I love Lifetime and I don’t care who knows it! No shame here. :)
Hope you’ve had a wonderful Tuesday!
