Well hello!
I feel like I haven’t legitimately posted in awhile because the past few posts have been so rushed, but no worries! I’m back in action now! :)
I hope this finds you happy, peaceful and well rested after such a busy holiday season! It’s a little sad that Christmas is over, but I can honestly say that I’m excited to get back into the grind of normal, everyday life. Christmas day was absolutely wonderful. Typically, Christmas for my sister and I goes a little bit like this:
Christmas Eve:
-Spending the morning wrapping gifts
-Going to Grandma’s in the afternoon/ night for gifts and dinner
-Going to Dad’s straight from Grandma’s for the Christmas Eve party
-Staying up ALL night basically
Christmas Day:
-6am presents and breakfast at Dad’s
-Going straight to Mom’s to open gifts and have breakfast round 2
-Getting dressed and heading to Bob’s families house until about 10:30 pm for presents, and dinner
All summed up in one word: INSANITY
This year we opened gifts at mom’s on Christmas Eve before going to Grandma’s, so it gave us a couple of hours of downtime on Christmas day to just hang around the house which was a wonderful and very welcomed change in the schedule. Christmas morning, we woke up REALLY EARLY because my Grandpa had turned on all of the lights in the basement. Not the greatest way to wake up, but still pretty funny. We opened gifts and it was so great to see everyone so excited about what they got from Santa this year. :)
The breakfast that followed was delicious and included: breakfast casserole, biscuits and gravy (but I don’t do gravy, I’m more of a butter and strawberry jam girl), fresh cut fruit, scrambled eggs and obviously we rounded out the great meal with some delicious chilled mimosas.

Deliciousness

He was SO excited for Christmas! :)
Kayla and I headed to Mom’s house after breakfast to hang out for awhile before all had to go to Don and Diana’s for Christmas celebrations. Someone was REALLY excited about Christmas. So excited that he carried around his new Christmas baby in his mouth ALL morning. :) Upon arriving at Don and Diana’s, we snacked on some delicious appetizers, cold beer and Christmas cookies while dinner cooked in the oven and after awhile, started opening gifts.

Alyssa!
I think that it’s safe to say that Alyssa was the most excited about Christmas. It was the cutest thing in the world to watch her opening gifts!

Some of the Greco boys!
The rest of the night was filled lots of fun! We had a DELICIOUS meal complete with; turkey, vegetable casserole, green beans, cream spinach (the love of my life), fresh baked rolls, stuffing, and mashed potatoes. After eating, the kids (myself included), headed downstairs to curl up in the movie room and watch Elf. We were all incredibly tired and struggled to stay awake during the movie, but managed and laughed a whole lot. After the movie, we headed upstairs to enjoy a variety of different pies before piling in the car and heading home. I think it literally took about 2 minutes upon climbing into my bed, with a full belly and grateful heart for me to fall fast asleep. What a perfect Christmas.

Christmas Cookies :)
This morning, I took it upon myself to snuggle under my blankets, fast asleep until 11am. It was the BEST. I woke up and made a quick egg omelet with salsa before heading out with Kayla to exchange a few things and do a little shopping with our Christmas money! We shopped for 5 hours, but had SO much fun goofing off in stores and dressing rooms. I have this off way of trying on dresses in stores where I just pull down my pants so that I don’t actually have to take them off. It’s pretty odd, but works perfectly for a lazy girl like me. :)

My awkward way of trying on clothes without having to fully change ha!
And then Kayla told me to pretend I was a model. Definitely not a future career possibility. Hahaha

"Susan...act like a model!"
After shopping for awhile in Kirkwood, we hopped on the highway and headed to the mall to go to Dick’s and look at some workout gear! Before shopping, however, we stopped in the food court to split a California chicken wrap and some fro yo. It was the perfect late lunch and cured our afternoon crabbiness. :)

Good idea, or bad idea? Bad. Definitely bad.

So glad we tried this place!
After shopping, we ran by my dad’s house to say hello and visit for awhile before heading back home and changing into comfy clothes. Now, it’s time to curl up with some popcorn and watch Revenge with Kayla before shopping round two tomorrow. It’s a rough life. :)
Here’s a Thought:
