PB2 Surprises!!! :)

PB2 Surprises!!! :)

Happy Saturday!

Well, as a follow up to last night’s post; Abduction was a great movie!  I had also rented What’s Your Number? with Anna Faris and it was GREAT as well!  Bam! :)

Hottie McHotty Hotty Pants :)

Abduction had a very interesting plot, which I loved.  There were obviously parts that were incredibly cliche and expected, but I think that comes with any movie nowadays.  Overall I would give it a B!

This guy was DEFINITELY a hottie as well. He gave Taylor a run for his money.

I absolutely LOVED this movie.  I picked it up on a whim last night, but it turned out be wonderful and well worth it!  Anna Faris just cracks me up in any movie that she’s in (especially The House Bunny), so I figured it would be pretty funny.  I would highly recommend this movie to anyone!

Well, onto today.  I started my day with a little bit of morning yoga followed by breakfast and the last half of Abduction.  Breakfast this morning was another batch of overnight oats.  Instead of a scoop of pudding powder, I tried a scoop of cocoa, but it wasn’t as good.  Bum deal.  However, it wasn’t bad and it definitely kept me full, so I’ll take it!

After breakfast, I threw on some clothes and decided to run out to Lee’s Summit for a couple of hours to bum around and shop a bit.  I didn’t find anything fun while shopping, but when I decided to stop at HyVee on the way home, I hit the jackpot.  Let me preface this by saying that I have never been to HyVee before and was under the presumption that only Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods carried random little health foods that I love and ones that I have wanted to try.  Well, I was wrong.  SO SO WRONG.  HyVee has a huge health foods sections that’s chalk full of things you would find at a health foods stores.  YAY! :)  I picked up a few packages of Tofu Shiritaki Noodles, a bag of frozen sweet potato fries that my grandma always makes, a new kind of zero calorie dressing that looked delicious, and… PB2!!!

This looks SO good!

FINALLY!

I have heard so many wonderful things about PB2 and have wanted to try it for a long time, so I picked up a jar of each kind to take home.  Let me tell you; it’s AMAZING.  For anyone who doesn’t know what PB2 is, it’s powdered peanut butter made by a company called Bell Plantation and is much much healthier than normal peanut butter.

According to the website: “Through a unique process that doesn’t involve the use of any chemicals and doesn’t alter nature’s intended balance found within the peanut, we remove over 85% of the fat from premium quality peanuts. Essentially, the oil is squeezed out of roasted peanuts and what remains is our famous powdered peanut butter – all natural with no artificial sweeteners or preservatives.”

All you do is mix two tablespoons of the powder with one tablespoon of water to yield two tablespoons of peanut butter that is 85 percent lower in calories and fat than regular peanut butter, but contains the same exact taste.  I’m so excited!

Upon arriving home, I was pretty hungry, so I ate a plain Oikos greek yogurt, while preparing a tofu shiritaki bowl complete with garlic, spinach and tomatoes.  It was perfect and definitely warmed me up on such a chilly day.

I can’t believe that it’s already 5:15.  The day has literally flown by and I’m super sleepy, but I think that a nap right now would equal NO sleep tonight.  Definitely not taking that route.  I think it’s time for a little reading and then a workout before dinner!

Hope you’re having a great day and staying warm. :)

Disturbingly Amazing :)

Disturbingly Amazing :)

Well hello!

Sorry about not posting yesterday.  I’m still working on getting the hang of a new schedule and all, and it seemed like I was just going, going, going yesterday without a second to breathe.  This is going to be a short post because I’m pretty darn tired right now and have plans to get up early for a run, so sleep wins!

However, with NO classes on the agenda tomorrow, I fully intend to head on over the union after my run and spend some quality time working on the ol’ blog.  I need to update the workouts, recipes, and about me sections and also need to put a little bit of time into figuring out which self hosting site would be the best for me.  Any suggestions?  :)  Time to get rolling!  My goal is to get everything straightened out and fixed up, and then apply for the foodbuzz featured publisher program, along with a few others.  I also need to work on getting myself out there more in the blog world in order to increase followers and broaden my networking.  Lots to do!!

Not too much has happened over the past day that’s exciting enough to stay awake and write about, except that I just watched American Psycho with a friend of mine and it was hands down the most disturbingly amazing movie.  I’m not sure that it’s even possible to put those two words right next to each other in a sentence, but let’s be real, Christian Bale was insane in that movie.  It was great.  If you like weird, creepy and downright sick movies with great acting; check this sucker out!

Oh, AND… I’ve finally started watching Make It Or Break It online and I am OBSESSED with this show.  Holy cow.  It’s definitely a teen drama, which may be a huge turn off to a lot of people, but it’s right up my alley!  I’m a sucker for good dramatic tv. :)

Before I head to sleep, I wanted to share two little pieces of wisdom that I found via Pinterest browsing last night:

I loved both of these and use them as inspiration when tired thoughts start creeping into my mind as I run.  Pretty good motivation, if ya ask me.
